Shark sensation at Elphinstone Reef! top

Frequent encounters with oceanic white-tip sharks (Carcharhinus longimanus) define Elphinstone Reef. However, over the last four weeks, five tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) have been seen there.

Since this species is extremely rare in the Red Sea, an encounter is a spectacular experience.
Guests have also been lucky enough to come face to face with hammerhead sharks, which are found at a depth of 30–40 m at this time of year.

Many thanks to Theresa and Colin, who were kind enough to leave us copies of these amazing photos.
